Transformed
“And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect will of God” Romans 12:2.
On Wings Like a Dove takes women on retreat twice a year. It is a great time to get away with each other and with God. Most everyone who attends has a prodigal son or daughter, some who are incarcerated. Everyone knows they are in a safe haven of women who are going through or have been through some of the same issues.
This year God seemed to lead us to the word Transformation. Transformation is to make a through or dramatic change in the form of appearance or character. As I pondered our key passage I knew I needed to have someone share a testimony of transformation from a life in the world.
My Decision Magazine published by The Billy Graham Evangelistic Association came in the mail shortly after that thought. I turned directly to an article about a woman who was once a madam of a prostitution ring. She had spent time in prison and had been totally transformed it read. In the article she was quoted as saying, “I want to serve God for His glory, and I want people to know that the chains of bondage can be broken. I want them to know that there is hope and healing”.
Tonight we were blessed to hear her whole testimony of redemption. What the enemy meant for evil God meant for good because she is now going back in the prison and the Rehab centers sharing Christ with all who will listen. She can minister to these ladies because she has been there. She knows their journey and she knows the way out of the strongholds that would have destroyed her had not God intervened. She was conformed to the world at one time but now she has been transformed by the renewing of her mind which is stayed on Christ. If she can be redeemed does it not give you hope that your son, daughter, husband, or wife can also? Receive that into your spirit and believe, all things are possible with Him.
