“And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those that are called according to his purposes.” Romans 8.28
Many of us can quote our key verse easily, but do we really believe it? Recently God demonstrated to me in a tangible way the truths of this passage. Being very distraught over a family situation I thought, “How could God bring good out of this horrid situation?”
The definition of good is: Something useful and profitable, beneficial, and blessings. Blessings? Lord, how could this be a blessing? Thankfully I was able to see God work through this situation to accomplish his plans and purpose. Not everything seems good from our human perspective but God sees the big picture and can bring good from it.
I was blown away as I watched God work through it to accomplish His plans and purposes. It sometimes takes hard discipline before the healing and restoration can come. Will you choose today to believe God’s work in everything that comes your way? He really does work all things together for our good if we are His child. One day we will see clearly what He was doing.
