“You will keep him in perfect peace whose mind is stayed on You because he trusts in you.” Isaiah 26:3
Recently a mother wrote to me: “We find ourselves in another storm with our son.” Those are never good words to hear. After a tornado touched down in our neighborhood, I heard of a young mother who crouched down with her small sons under the stairwell. I could not imagine her terror. Her home was swept away but her life and her boy’s lives were spared.
I envisioned a band of angels hovered over them protecting them from the raging storm around them. My prayer is that the wings of heaven will surround you and your prodigal if you are in a storm today. May you sense His peace in your life as you keep your mind stayed on Him. We are no more in control of personal storms than we are of tornadoes but we can know the One who is. Are you comforted by that fact today? There is always peace after the storm. So remember to keep your eyes stayed on Him and He will give you peace.
