Day 14
His Direction
“Whether you turn to the right of the left, your ears will
hear a voice behind you saying, this is the way, walk in it.” Isaiah 30:21
As I made my way to work in the thunderstorm one morning I
heard a gentle voice directing me to “turn right.” No, it wasn’t the GPS.
Praise the Lord I was not only listening but chose to obey. When
I arrived at work I discovered there had been a serious wreck on the path I had
normally taken, making other employees late to work. I said a quiet, “Thank you
Lord.”
What if I hadn’t obeyed His still small voice and gone my
own way? I remember how our old GPS when I went in the wrong direction
continually saying, “recalculating” until I got so weary I would reach over and
turn it off. Don’t turn God’s voice off.
This New Year choose to keep your ears turned to the Fathers
voice and fallow His direction immediately. His way is always right and He
knows what is ahead.

ReplyDeleteHow many times do I hear that still small voice and I'm not paying attention? Thanks for the reminder to always be attentive for that still small voice.
